HYDE-BASED Tameside United football club, which has its roots in Denton, is hosting sessions for the next generation of players.
The club, which started life as Denton Girls, will hold clinics by the SSE Wildcats. Who offer girls aged 5-11 a chance to try football for the first time and provide regular opportunities to play.
All sessions are delivered by FA qualified coaches and provide a safe place for girls to try football for the first time and develop key skills.
Sessions take place on a weekly basis, on Thursdays between 5pm and 6pm at Hyde United’s Ewen Fields stadium.
It will be one of more than 1,000 SSE Wildcats centres across the country.
Tameside United is celebrating after its ladies side finished its 18-game season in Division Two of the Greater Manchester Women’s Football League with an enviable record of 13 wins, two draws and only three defeats.
However, they must wait nervously as West Didsbury and Chorlton Women can have matches against Swinton FC, AFC Oldham and Flixton Ladies to play.
If you are interested in attending the sessions, which start on May 2, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07568 104 868.
